Document Summary

Aldosterone released in adrenal cortex reverse original effect ( negative feedback) Dehydration and blood loss lowers blood volume which drops blood pressure. When there is a drop in blood pressure they secrete renin- converts angiotensinogen to angiotensin l. Angiotensin l travels thru bloodstream and enters lungs. Ace is found in the lungs and converts angiotensin l to angiotensin ll. Angiotensin acts on arterioles and causes tension to bring back up blood pressure. Angiotensin 2 triggers secretion of aldosterone ??? which causes blood volume to increase. Angiotensin 2 also causes vasoconstriction increasing blood pressure. Estrogens: receptors, lipid , pass thru bilayer regulated by anterior pituitary family of estrogens- primarily ( beta estradiol) steroid hormone . Back bone/ derived from cholesterol, intracellular inhibin -> negative feedback (cid:523) didn"t get rest of slide (cid:524) Estrogen comes from granulosa cells that surround follicles. Also leads to fat deposition in breast tissue.
