Religious knowledge talked in churches is picture knowledge, and philsoohpy end in the same place; what they want tom achieve is similar. If you drop the symbolism; jesus, an incarnate individual, also becomes an instance of an individual becomes universal. There was something about this instance that individualism was acknowledged, the individual is negated, individuality is being affirmed. Not worshiped as an individual but as a universal, individuality is affirmed in itself, not the kind of suppression of individuality, the individual is meant to serve the state, the individual who is sacrificed is also the universal subject. God has a process to humanize himself, in order to complete himself. If you are not stuck in picture-thinking that is where the parralelles are understood, the notion of the individual and the universal have been kept separate from each other, what has to happen is a kind of reconciliation.
