General concept for plato ideas or forms are not mind dependent entities. The forms of the ideas are what are really real. All things participate in what they are meant to be. Dirt or fingernail clippings are too gross to deserve to have a form, more like raw material that is unformed. Some things are more or less beautiful then other things as are equality. Particulars are simply imperical to the form. Imagine you have rolled out some raw cookie dough to make star shaped cookies. The cookie cutter is the exemplar, after cutting them you pop them into the oven for consumption. As you put away the cookies, you realize that they are not all perfect shaped. With everything we perceive blue things participate in the form of blueness as we perceive. Chairs all participate in the form of chairness and we have different chairs, they participate in different forms. The form of anything or everything must come first.
