Because of its potential to enhance and to harm health, alcohol use is important to understand. 83% of canadians 15-24 years old drank in past year. Among 15-24 year-old past-year drinkers: 46% drank heavily at least once / month, 14% drank heavily at least once / week. Daily alcohol consumption should not exceed 2 drinks and totally weekly consumption should not exceed 14 drinks for men, & 9 drinks for women. 22. 6% of all past-year drinkers exceed guideline (more than a fifth) Males, 18 to 24 year-olds, and singles are most likely to exceed guidelines. 1,753 ontario adults provided data about: past-year involvement in an aggressive incident, where incident occurred, who was involved, whether respondent was victim or aggressor. 10% had been involved in an incident in past year. Most often involved males, 2+ participants, strangers.
