What do we mean by the term cultural, and how is it geographical: what we"re essentially talking about in cultural geography is the material landscape, the physical world that we see when we look around us, how you look at things and how you see things, the assumptions you make, and why you"re making them as you look around you, when we look around us, we see distinctive cultural traditions, norms, and values that are interwoven into place, and the argument is, is that this has an impact on us for those of us who live or experience those places, and as geographers we want to think about how certain norms and values and ideas become embedded in our landscape and the impact that it has on various people, we"re also interested in how it is that one group"s architecture, sense of place, or expectations are built into the world around us and others are not.
