Dispossession of land: expropriation of resources (water plants and animal life, trees, minerals), disruption of tradition, cultural practice eradication of languages, contamination of air, waterways, soil, violation of sacred ground. Land is much more than territory, property or possession: often source of agency. Biodiversity, interdependence of living beings significant values.
