Document Summary
Don"t equate moral reasoning and moral action. Note: case study instead of a research paper. The word i" is permitted only regarding the content of the essay, not your own opinion/experiences. There are three broad expectations in this assignment: Demonstrate good analytical and critical thinking abilities. Demonstrate a solid understanding of the course content. Two models of freedom: summerhill and behaviouralism. People behave mechanically, without meaning to or even knowing that they do. He points that we act like machines, whether we know it or not. Since we have this machine-like characteristic, we can easily manipulate it without even knowing. We can modify behaviour and create a system of highly stimulus and response. We can modify the kind of things people do and we predict what they will do. Stimulus and response is behind all human behaviour. It"s a mistake to suppose that the whole issue is how to free man.
