She attended a non-white school, the school was far away (had to ride the bus for an hour) while there was a white school closer to her house so she took this case to court. The courts ruled in favour of linda, all white schools were unequal, this was the case that broke down the barrier of special education. Each province has its own education acts, regulations, and policies. Students with special needs should experience education in settings that allow them to achieve their individual goals in inclusive settings .
