Geophysical: earthquake, volcano, mass movement (dry): rockfall, landslide, avalanche, subsidence. Meteorologic (wet): rockfall, landslide, avalanche, subsidence: cyclone, extratropical cyclone. Many of them are occurring in the us recently. Can cause life-threatening secretory diarrhea induced by an enterotoxin se created by vibrio cholerae. Clinical manifestations range from voluminous stool, hypovolemic shock, to acidosis. Severe fluid loss can lead to death within a day on onset. Structure of cholera toxin: these are both proteins.
