During world war 2 blues started to become part of those centers. A smart marketing scheme: that person sold their soul to the devil. Robert johnson played rural blues and played solos. Rural blues had an improvised feel and players could add time or take away time as they wished. In chicago, they developed a different style of blues as electric guitar became more popular which caused other instruments to need to be amplified. At that time most blues was still remaining regionalized. In the 1950s the national audience had shifted to television. So the radio started playing more rnb. It also had to do with advertising money. I(cid:374)depe(cid:374)de(cid:374)t re(cid:272)ord la(cid:271)els did(cid:374)(cid:859)t ha(cid:448)e the same sort of distribution. Later on, independent record labels started to develop relationships with other record labels.
