Emotion - emotion is an evaluative response that typically includes physiological arousal, subjective experience, and behavioural or emotional expression. Emotion defining attributes such as facial expressions, and specific physiological patterns are absent. Moods, unlike emotion do not involve relationships with a particular object. Emotional regulation - efforts to control emotional states. Aroused - the state of being physiologically alert and attentive. Appraisal - the act of assessing something or someone. Positive affect - a general category of emotions related feeling good. Negative affect - a general category of emotions related to feeling bad. Cognition - the mental action or process of acquiring knowledge and understanding through thought, experience, and the senses.
