Cannot account for all behaviours e. g you can become hungry without physical sensations of hunger. External (environmental factors) pull people in a direction. Motivated by an attractive incentive stimulus or reward. Motivated in ways that have been rewarded/punished in the past pushed by expectation of an outcome from behaviour. Doing something because it is inherently interesting or enjoyable e. g playing soccer because you love it. Doing something because it leads to a separable outcome. E. g result of external factors such as body image. Humans are motivated towards personal growth and self actualisation to one"s full potential.
