Inference: evaluation, metacognition, analysing the adequacy of our decisions - monitoring our own decision making. Elements of metacognition: two dimensions of metacognition, knowledge of cognition, understanding memory and thought processes, and own ability, regulation of cognition, select appropriate strategies, active interaction with learning material. I must identify the key points in the paper and summarize them. I should practice the essay under exam conditions. I need to do the above things because i am not good in essay writing, but i have to write this essay well. To i need to modify my learning strategies: evaluation, appraising regulation and learning outcomes, revising future goals and predictions as appropriate. In many professions, including teaching, reflection is an important aspect in the development of competence: reflective journals can be a useful tool to facilitate metacognitive skills. I have a good memory for facts declarative: rehearsing for my biology exam did not lead to effective learning of the concepts involved.
