What I’m passionate about.
A summary of my ideal job, including the future prospects for this occupation.
A summary of key skills and attributes I need for my ideal job.
PART 2: My career action plan (750 words)

Complete ‘Part 3: My plan’ look at ideal job from Part 1 of template and create a
plan of what I’ll need to do and the skills and attributes I will need to develop to
be ready for this occupation.
Must include:
My career SWOT
One SMART goal for 6 months, 12 months and 5 years
A summary of resources I’ll need to achieve these goals.
A development plan for my skills, attributes and further education and training.
Reflective writing may be descriptive, explanatory, and expressive, using feeling and
thinking verbs, often with modified language, and requires the use of first person.
Must include references and be grammatically correct.
PART 3: My sample cover letter (Max 1 A4 page - 300 words)

Professional portfolio is based on the ideal job from Assessment 2.
Section A: Sample job advertisement.
Find a job advertisement to focus on. Can use ideal job or one that I am ready to
apply for.
Copy and paste into template & reference source of the advert.
Section B: Sample cover letter.
Introduction and interest in the position (position description / position job
number) must include persons title or dear hr manager
Explanation of why I would be a good fit for the role (draw upon relevant skills,
experience & attributes)(possibly link own beliefs to the businesses core values)
Extra info that is relevant to the role (sell yourself)
Sign off best method of contact etc “For further details of my achievements
please see my resume attached, welcome opportunity for interview etc.”
Section E: Linkedin profile
