Submit the Health & Safety Checklist to the Grade Center.
• Reflect on values and think about actions and how they align. E.g. value is respect, action
should be underpinned by this value e.g. the way of talking and interacting with students and
parents
o Are these two contradictory?
o Sometimes a certain action may have to be applied at school even though your values
may not be in alignment
• What is inclusion:
o A human right (UNCRPD, General Comment no.4)
o A process of removing barriers to participation and engagement in school and the
community
o A political position which reflects our values for who is worthy more than others
o Not aout hat e offer to our students, ut it is aout US… WHAT e eliee and
value, WHAT teachers we want to be, WHAT world we want to live in
• Reflect (three layers of inclusion)
o Are all children present in their local school?
o Do all children participate and benefit from curricular and extra-curricular activities in
their local school?
o Are all children supported equally to achieve in their schools?
