Liam harrison is a 19 year old apprentice plumber who has presented to the ed with increasing shortness of breath and general malaise. You are the student nurse on clinical placement working with the triage nurse. Liam describes feeling off for about a month, feeling tired, run down and finding that he is getting increasingly short of breath. He states that he had a cold a few weeks ago that just hasn"t gone away and yesterday when playing footy he had to be helped off the ground due to having difficulty breathing and feeling dizzy. On further questioning he tells you that he has been needing to have a sleep some days after work and even missed some nights out with mates due to feeling too tired to go . He denies a cough but says he has been really hot at night, needing to change his sheets twice this week as he was so sweaty.
