Surface anatomy : surface landmarks that can be studied by sight which corresponds to deeper structures hidden from view. Radiology : branch of medical science dealing with the use of medical imaging to diagnose or treat disease. Developmental anatomy: the branch of biology that studies embryos and their development. Surface lining of gut and respiratory tract. Microscopic anatomy : the study of tissues sectioned into thin slices and viewed under a microscope. Regional: follows regions (eg. lower limb, head, trunk) Systemic anatomy: organisation of body into systems that work together to carry out complex functions. Visceral systems (digestive, respiratory, urinary, reproductive, endocrine, circulatory) Regional anatomy: organisation of the body as segments. Anatomical positioning: palms facing forward, feet parallel and facing forward, head facing straight, male: underside of penis facing forward (?? need to double check)
