In the latter half of the last century we have moved away from religion: thus, it(cid:859)s thought that as (cid:449)e (cid:271)e(cid:272)o(cid:373)e s(cid:373)arter a(cid:374)d (cid:373)ore ad(cid:448)a(cid:374)(cid:272)ed (modernized), the smaller role religion plays, both on society and on the individual. Industry, capitalism etc. has become our god: berger 1999, flaws in the theory, very western approach, only considered religion and spirituality that is organised, views through the eyes of the privileged elite. Increased capacity to encounter people and places different from ourselves. Hit(cid:272)he(cid:374)(cid:859)s (cid:272)oncern with religion: h referred to the bacilli of human pathologies from human sacrifice, negative attitudes towards sex, homophobia, war and genocide that were located within, and spawned from the sacred religious texts.
