Seeing character traits as explainers and predictors of behaviour is the dispositionist view: but "circumstance often has an extraordinary influence on what people of, whatever sort of character they may appear to have" Seems that it is very convenient that they knew it was fake. The people that didn"t do it may have just needed a different situational feature to commit the evil act. The experiment alone does not show that we are capable as people said no. Authority can make a large majority of individuals commit evil acts. Issues with them all being white males from small towns.
