Weekly Research Question: 'Why did China seem to become so radical
and ideological from the 1930s onwards?'
•Ideological: principle, ideas on how people should be governed
•Read a wide range of articles/authors on the same topic
•'malaise': general sense of not feeling motivated, depressed (mental
element) --> China was mentally and physically unmotivated
•Sometimes articles don't answer the question directly, but can say it
informs us of what the events were
