MODULE 6: SAFETY AND SECURITY
Security Officer:
• Ensure correct people have access to specific
areas
• Act responsibly in case of accident/emergency
• Act as a bodyguard, bouncer or crowd
controller
• Patrol and protect premises
• Install and maintaining security equipment
• Provide advice on security equipment
/procedures
• Train other staff in security procedures
Safety & Security Committee:
• Resolution of health/safety issues
• Undertake regular safety inspections
• Devise system to record accidents/incidents
• Give recommendations to improve
health/safety
• Forum for information about risks, health,
safety and security
Police:
• Role as spectator/crowd control
