How language can be used: visual language can also be considered visual literacy , children"s literature is a creative art. It is of course conceived creatively but is just as importantly reconceived by an audience which is itself in a constant state of. Ux and re-creation (r. r johnston, page 465, winch et. al: children are going to read books more than once, therefore what happens is they themselves are growing older and learning new things. New perspectives: thinking is surely the most profound aspect of literacy. We need some language to think with, even when it involves what appears as wordless" appreciation or response (in reality nothing is wordless, or at least is not wordless for long ) page. 467: language creates , literature is applied language, it is language in action. Multi-literacies: the plethora of text modes that are available and accessible in classrooms and homes are the varying skills they require.
