Group 1 participants formed positive impressions of donald, viewing him as a likeable man who enjoyed new challenges. Group 2 participants formed negative impressions of donald viewing him as a stuck up person who wook needlessly dangerous chances. In other conditions, research participants memorized words that were also positive or negative, such as neat or disrespectful. These did not influence their perception of donald because the words did not apply to donalds behavior. Conclusion: thoughts have to be both accessible and applicable. Schemas: mental structures that help organize our knowledge of the social world before they will act as primes.
