Ex: kelley study where economics students were told a guest lecturer was going to come in and teach (ambiguous situation) and after 20 minutes of lecturing, students rated their impressions of him. Expected him to be warm higher ratings and asked more questions/participated more, thought he was funnier than cold condition. Expected him to be cold lower ratings. Some schemas are chronologically accessible due to past experience constantly active and ready to use to interpret ambiguous situations. Something can become accessible because it is related to a current goal (ex: if studying for a test, more likely to point out in real life)
