Paid for those goods with livestock, milk and milk products, hides, and hair. Acquired more income by being desert guides or guarding caravans, or being the reason why you need guards for caravans. Warrior elite normally led tribal confederations in northern and central arabia. Priestly aristocracies held more power in the south though.
