Diffusionists: cultural characteristics result from either internal historical dynamism or a spread of cultural attributes from one society to another. Globalization doesn"t mean everyone in the world is participating in the changes. Communication: advancement in technologies allow more frequent communication between people anywhere in the world. Migration: movement of people through migrants, immigrants, refugees, or exiles bring people in contact with one another. Finance: the rapid movement of money across national boundaries allowed corporations to move factories from one country to another. Globalization promotes focus on winners, arguing that greater economic integration brings unprecedented prosperity to millions. Critics focus on losers, invoking images of sweatshops and poverty. Bigger gap between rich and poor countries.
