Tissues: each are group of cells working together for specialized function. Emergent properties: result from the arrangement and interaction of parts within a system. Ex. being a bike assembled is an emergent property, not only the parts alone. Systems biology: exploration of biological system by analyzing interaction among parts. There is correlation between structure and function (common in life) Ex. take the bike, if the wheels are square it will not rotate. Things have a given shape in order to function better.
