Workers want to help the organization succeed: more characteristics that transformational leaders possess: Provides a vision and purpose, develops pride, and earns respect and trust. Clearly and simply communicates purpose and expectations and focuses efforts. Promote rational thinking, careful problem solving, and sue of intellect. Coaches, advises, and givers personal attention to each employee. Leadership style with some similarity to transformational leadership is servant leadership approach. Emerged in the 1970s and is similar to transformational leadership because they both are concerned with followers.
