Those who were faster at reporting positive words than taboo words could be due to being surprised or embaraased when seeing the taboo words. Poorer kids could misjudge the size of coins because they have less experience with them. The influence of motivational facotrs or visual perception was never firmly established. They did not consciously lie or misrepresent. Know this since they observed the participants" eye movements & reaction time. Wishful seeing emerges when people form representations of the dimensiosn of the natural environemntn.
