Dockets = records of cases; look at stalled cases and impose scheduling order to move long- pending cases toward completion. Summary judgement = allows parties to present evidence to the court in support of their positions; don t have to go to trial, go to the judge. Inquisitorial system = judge determines the issues for resolution and is actively involved in developing the evidence. Motion for default judgement = not answering to complaint; win the case immediately. Motion to dismiss = dismiss claims against it. Answer = to the complaint, responding directly to the allegations and raising new issues for the court to consider. Without prejudice = court will refuse to hear the case while recognizing that the plaintiff might be entitled to have the case heard in a proper forum. With prejudice = they cannot be refiled against the same defendant in any court; but can for other responsible people.
