Professional courtroom actors are also called the courtroom work group. Outsiders are those trial participants who are only temporarily involved with the court are generally unfamiliar with courtroom organization and trial procedure (jurors, witnesses, defendants, and victims). A trial judge has the primary duty of ensuring justice. A judge is an elected or appointed public official who presides over a court of law and who is authorized to hear and sometimes to decide cases and to conduct trials.
