Your goal: to develop strategies for affecting the chances that a policy will be implemented. The analysis of the proposed policy is based on the political support support and opposition. Political support and opposition can change constantly as a result of elections, new social conditions, and even accidents. A strategy is used to increase or decrease the likelihood that a policy will be implemented. You can formulate a strategy by using the information on your political support. First step: decide whether you want a policy implemented or defeated. Choose a player with a firm issue position or high priority. Make sure your player has a score of at least 3 for both issue position and priority, this makes it more likely for the player to pursue the strategy. Select a player with significant amount of power, its increases the strategies available.
