Personality tests useful when hiring; observer rating surveys provide indep assessment of personality: combo of self-report and observer-reports predicts performance better than any one type of info. Twins raise apart have much in common and significant part of behavioral similarity due to genetic factors. Genetics account for ~50% of personality similarities b/w twins. Personality more malleable in adolescence, more stable in adults. Myers-briggs type indicator (mbti) 100q personality test that ask ppl how they usually feel or act in particular sit. Extraverted (e) vs introverted (i: extraverted = outgoing, sociable, assertive; introverts = quiet and shy. Sensing (s) vs intuitive (n: sensing practical and prefer routine and order, focus on details; intuitives rely on unconscious processes and look at the big picture.
