On a nonacute outpatient unit, the unit had become disorganized and received evaluations of. Poor for the care that has been provided. Upon having no solutions, administration hired a new director. The new director has made many changes in the unit all within 6 months. The new director made many changes to the unit too quickly, such as modernized all the information systems and remodeled the unit. Due to all these changes in such a quick time, it produced feelings of inadequacy, anxiety, and resistance. First, the director should have introduced each new change one at a time. Second, the director could have communicated with the nurses about how they felt about the changes and exchange opinions. Lastly, the director should have made sure that all nurses were trained on the new equipment before introducing something new.
