Four categories for the factors of production: land, labor, capital, entrepreneurship. Land: gifts of nature used to produce goods and services. Labor: work, time and effort that people devote to producing goods and services. +human capital: knowledge and skill of laborers which factor in to the quality of labor. Capital: tools, instruments, machines, etc. that businesses use to produce goods and services. Incomes are earned by selling the services of the factors of production. An outcome is in the social interest if it is best for society as a whole. Efficient: described a situation that can"t be improved upon.
