Office hours: tuesday 7:30-8:45, thursday 11:50-12:15, and by appointment. Course catalog description: sociological theories of deviant behavior; sup-porting research on mental illness, crime, sexual deviance, drug abuse and suicide. Attendance: students are expected to attend class regularly and to be punctual. Although not graded, regular attendance is essential to learning the material. It is very important that students arrive to class on time and stay until the end of class. Arriving late, leaving early, and packing up your things before lecture is over are disruptive to both me and your fellow students. If you must leave class early, you should notify me before class begins and sit close to the door so you may exit quietly. In the event of an absence, it is the student"s responsibility to get notes and reading assignments from another student, as i do not make my notes available for any reason. In the case of extended absences, please notify me promptly.
