Nomadic b/c they were forced to follow animals to fresh feeding grounds: horticultural societies- formed in area where rain fall and other conditions allowed them to grow stable crops. Able to start permanent settlements since they didn"t abandon their location to follow resources. Created more stability and more material goods and became the basis for the first revolution in human survival: agricultural societies- relied on permanent tools for survival. Tools for digging and harvesting were made of metal, making them more-effective and lasts longer.
