Child development define is the scientific study of the patterns of growth, change, and stability that occur from conception through adolescence. There are three main areas or approaches in child development: Physical development define development involving the body"s physical makeup (the brain, nervous system, muscles, and senses and the need for food, drink, and sleep) helps determine behavior. Cognitive development define development involving the ways that growth and change in intellectual capabilities influence a person"s behavior. (brains and memory). Personality development define development involving the ways that the enduring characteristics that differentiate one person from another change over the life span. and their social relationships grow, change, and remain stable over the course of life. Social development define the way in which individual"s interactions with others. Most child developmentalists break up child development into several broad stages: Prenatal period define the period from conception to birth. Infancy and toddlerhood define birth to age 3.
