Personality: the unique and relatively stable ways in which people think, feel, and behave: every adult personality is a combination of temperaments, personal family history and culture, and the time frame that a person grew up. There isn"t one set definition because it is difficult to measure precisely and scientifically. Sigmund freud: was the founder of the psychoanalytic movement in psychology: believed the unconscious mind influenced conscious behavior, believed that there were level sof consciousness in the mind, most of his theory does not have any proof. It can"t be tested and is not falsifiable. Preconscious mind: contains memories, information, and events that are available and that one can easily become aware of, it"s just not currently conscious. Conscious mind: one"s current awareness exists, aware of immediate surroundings and perceptions. The ego sometimes denies the id"s desires if the consequences are too unpleasant or painful. You feel guilty when do you do something bad.
