Means by which we achieve the highest form of happiness. That form of happiness is the sum of virtues for justice. Study how politics takes the form of justice. One of the first things he does as he examines forms of justice is classifies. He classifies on the basis of what he calls their constitution. Purpose of arrangement is to determine who shall participate in the ruling of the state. Classification criteria: empirical- how many govern? , normative- do they govern for all or for themselves? . Good: those who govern in the interest of everyone. Bad: those who govern in the interest of themselves. Aristotle is one of the first, if not the first political economist. Most critical conflict in every political society that must be considered carefully is the conflict between the rich and the poor. Property: positives: can encourage us for the virtue of work.
