Increasing commercial agriculture also has people wanted to buy more land. New towns and communities pop up everywhere in new england: rise of the merchants, soil is not the best for growing crops. Could sell to new england, west indies, or. Merchant activities increases on the new england ports. Sell a lot of crops, fish, lumber, etc to the west indies. New england begins to build ships to help trade everything.
