Plato wanted philosophical schools, rhetoric schools were his competition. Plato blames rhetoric for the death of socrates. In his story phaedrus, he makes fun of the handbooks. Socrates tells phaedrus the things that are important in the handbook and asks if he missed anything and phaedrus says nothing important when really socrates was missing the most of education hierarchy.
