Relationships form on repeated occasions when couples interact. When two people share heightened knowledge of one another they can be said to have a greater degree of interdependence or the degree to which the actions of two people influence and are influenced by each other. Interpersonal attraction: constellation of sentiments which compromise the evaluative orientation of one person toward another it is much more likely to have compartmentalized friendships (e. g. , running buddy, tennis partner) than it is to segment romantic interests by type. An individual"s level of physical attraction refers to his or her looks, that is, what you see on the outside. Halo effect attributing a range of positive attributes from the presence of just one. Socialization refers to any process whereby we obtain values, norms, and conventional ways of behaving. People are either destined to be together or not (destiny belief) Successful relationships evolve from the resolution of risks, challenges, and difficulties, rather than their absence (growth belief)
