Anthropomorphism-the process by which we give life to things that aren"t really human human being form. Greek gods are the most vivid example of anthropomorphism. Mother earth created a sickle and gave it to one of her and uranus"s sons, cronus. Uranus to sleep with earth and then cut his father"s genitals off and threw them in the sea. Foam formed around them, and out from the foam, appeared aphrodite (goddess of passionate love). Societies presume the father is the only real parent because his contribution can be seen. After uranus was castrated he lost his chief god status. Cronus took over and let his brothers and sisters come out of mother earth. Parents told rhea that when she has next baby, to wrap up a rock and give that to cronus. Crete and hid him in a cave to grow up safely. Zeus tricked cronus into spitting up his brothers and sisters.
