I disagree with smith when he says the proposal is a bad idea because i feel like if you increase the pay of the lower class it only can help the middle and upper class. minimum wage proposal, many working americans have protested for a higher minimum wage, and cities as seattle san francisco and new mexico have raised their city minimum wage already. Some of these cities might still want to raise their wage even more to live better , because most of these cities cost of living is way more than most other urban cities. This is a idea i agree with because it would be unfair if people are making more than minimum wage i would want my pay to increase. Smith feels that the uniformity is unjust to the cities that have already raised their minimum wage.
