Period of building and writing: luxor temple and karnak built. Middle kingdom did not keep a standing army. Hykos invasion of lower egypt dissolved the middle kingdom. 2nd intermediate period (c. 1650 1575 bce) C. 1200 bce starts 100 year decline of egyptian power.
