Family seems to be a large source for motivation in modern culture. Christmas is a time of year when everyone seems to have their own important family traditions. Christmas day usually call for different customs to take place that have different significant features to different families. Like most families, my family has a unique and elaborately planned christmas tradition that begins the week after thanksgiving. The week after thanksgiving is a festive time to get rid of any leaves, pumpkins, or other fall paraphernalia. As the browns, oranges, and yellows are put away until next year, the greens and reds come out in full force. Red and green tulle begins to flow down from the storage cabinets. Plastic wreaths with elves and candy canes are hauled out of the attic. Christmas tree available is assembled and properly fluffed for hours.
