Theory : a comprehensive set of ideas: form the question into a hypothesis. Hypothesis : a specific prediction that can be tested: gather empirical data by designing and conducting research to test the hypothesis. Empirical : observation, experience, or experiment; not theoretical: analyze the data and determine whether or not it supports the hypothesis, and draw conclusions, report the results by sharing data, procedures, conclusions, and alternative explanations.
