Example of the representation of christ suffering for humanity that was popular that time period. The plays leading to the cruci xion are extremely cruel. Jesus remains silent as he is battered, thorned and tortured. The cruci xion revolves around the physical dif culties the soldiers are confronted with when trying to nail christ to the cross.
