To its critics, globalisation, or the march toward international capitalism, is a force for oppression, exploitation, injustice. Terrorist attack of 911 vindicates their concern and proved them right > rage about globalisation drove them to commit the crime. Terrorism argued to thrive on poverty and international capitalism similarly thrives on poverty. This has drawn support from a broad range of public opinion. But important to understand why these skeptics are wrong! Economic integration is a force for good! Globalisation, instead of a being the greatest cause of poverty, is the only feasible cure of poverty. Institutions that represent the global economy, imf, world bank, world trade organization are more reviled than admired. Government accused of bowing down to business since globalisation leaves them no choice. Those who speak up for international capitalism - government and business - not persuasive, do more to undermine rather than garner support. Present economic integration as unfortunate but inescapable.
